Mylah Skye was founded in 2023 by Beccy (an ex-teacher) and Pete (a joiner), with a focus on creating high quality fragrance and essential oil soy wax candles which are kind to the planet.

After years of nurturing young minds and heavy labour on sites, we both felt burnout setting in. We loved our jobs, but needed a better balance for our lives, our bodies and our creativity.

One evening, following a particularly challenging day, we spoke about seeking a reset and found inspiration in the form of a flickering flame. A simple candle; something to fill the home with warmth, soothing light and an aromatic experience to help gently ease away stress. After more than two years of learning and development, and countless hours of burn tests, we’re proud to present our collection of candles, melts and accessories.

We hand pour from our base in Saltburn-by-the-Sea using 100% natural soy wax and sustainable ingredients sourced as close to the region as possible. Our packaging is produced in the North of England using FSC certified materials and all elements from our boxes to our printed labels are recyclable or biodegradable. Our curated selection of accessories are manufactured by small-batch UK makers and our candle tins and amber glass jars are designed to be loved and repurposed.
